The display of naturalised snowdrops at Chippenham Park is probably the finest in East Anglia. The gardens are open to the public for this annual extravaganza for a few weekends in the season.
The many acres of woodland and lakeside gardens are carpeted white for several weeks early in the year. The delightful and extensive gardens of Chippenham Park provide an enchanting setting for this magnificent seasonal panorama. There is also much else of
winter-interest, such as fiery dogwoods, aconites and winter blossoms.
Delicious home-made soups, sausages and other refreshments will be available.
Dates for viewing our Snowdrops in 2012 are:-
4 and 5 February |
11am-4pm |
BBQ, Soups, Refreshments |
|
11 and 12 February |
Closed |
The gardens will be closed the weekend of 11/12 February due to the weather. The snowdrops are looking superb but unfortunately are for the most part hidden under snow. With some icy paths and the possibility of more snow we have reluctantly decided to close the gardens for this weekend. We expect the last two weekends in February to be perfect and will keep the website updated.
