Please note: Payment at the gate and in the cafe is by cash only. Dogs are welcome in the gardens on leads – please remember to clear up after them. We do not allow picnics anywhere on the premises. Wheelchair access is only limited in places although there are wood-chip paths in most places. There is wheelchair access to the outdoor toilet in the kitchen garden but the indoor toilets have a couple of steps. Be aware when visiting, especially with children, that the gardens contain large areas of open water.
This is the most amazing time of year when the grounds and gardens of Chippenham turn into a frothy sea of yellow daffodils. Everything starts pushing up, the first blossoms are out, the Helebores are still going strong and the crocus are opening. The Daphnes are in flower and the smell is intoxicating. The most exciting time for garden lovers with Spring in the air.
Easter is fast approaching and the extensive gardens at Chippenham Park will be open on Friday, 30th March from 10am-4pm for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. We will have a limited supply of chocolate eggs so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. The gardens will also be open for those of you who would just like to have a wander. There will be beautiful displays of bulbs, blossoms and daffodils.
Summer opening with acres of gardens and woodland walks, large borders and a multitude of roses and rare and unusual plants. Specialist plant stalls. If the weather is fine why not treat yourself to a glass of Rose in the Kitchen Garden?
Chippenham Park Gardens will be open to the public on Sunday October 7th for a blaze of autumn colour. The gardens, lakes and borders are still full of colour and charm late into summer and we have a variety of specialist plant stands, general nurseries, and other stands selling plants and garden-related goods. Delicious home-made cakes, scones, coffee, tea and barbecued sausages and others refreshments are being laid on in the licensed Potting Shed Cafe.
